Health assessment of LM guide by vibration sensors

• Linear motion (LM) guide is one of the critical components in manufacturing automation. Since its failure leads to the entire line stop, health monitoring is necessary.

• Frequency energy shift based health index (HI) is developed that monitors the flaking fault growth using the vibration data at guide block, acquired during the life test data of 4 different companies.
